Description

Delicious and easy to make Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups filled with chocolate or hazelnut spread, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate spread or hazelnut spread (for filling)
  • 1 Non-stick cooking spray or additional butter for greasing the muffin tin

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray or butter.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Shape Cookie Cups: Scoop about 2 tablespoons of cookie dough into each cup of the prepared muffin tin. Use your fingers or a spoon to press the dough down and create a small well in the center for the filling.
  8. Fill and Top: Add about 1 tablespoon of chocolate or hazelnut spread into the center of each cookie cup. Use additional dough to cover the spread if desired.
  9. Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  10. Cool: Remove from the oven and allow the cookie cups to cool in the tin for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Ensure butter is at room temperature for smoother mixing.
  • Don’t overmix the dough to keep the cookie cups tender.
  • You can experiment with different fillings such as peanut butter or caramel for variety.
  • For extra gooey centers, warm the cookie cups slightly before serving.
