- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- Fondant or edible flowers for decoration

Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan thoroughly with butter or non-stick spray.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs: Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the sour cream. Begin and end with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and spread evenly. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool Cake: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Prepare Icing: In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. For colored icing, add a few drops of food coloring and mix well.
- Decorate: Drizzle the icing over the cooled cake. Decorate with fondant or edible flowers as desired.

- For an extra moist cake, consider brushing the cake with a simple syrup right after baking.
- Use a silicone bundt pan to ensure the cake releases easily.
- If using fondant flowers, make them a day ahead to allow them to dry and set.
