Description
A delicious and creamy cheesy beef macaroni dish that is easy to make and perfect for dinner.
Ingredients

- 1/2 lb. ground beef (or sausage)
- 1/2 cup onion (diced)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 pinch salt (to taste)
- 2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet with high sides over medium high heat, then add diced onions, a sprinkle of salt and pepper and ground beef. Cook until meat is no longer pink.
- In a small dish pour in a bit of broth with your cornstarch and whisk until smooth, add into skillet.
- Pour remaining broth and milk in with meat with spices. Stir.
- Pour in uncooked macaroni noodles and gently submerge into liquid. Allow to bubble over medium heat until pasta is as tender as you’d like it to be. Turn heat off.
- Sprinkle in cheese 1 cup at a time stirring in to combine and melt. Taste, adjust salt and pepper as desired.
- Allow to sit for 5 minutes to thicken and then serve.
Notes
- This dish can be modified with different types of cheese or protein.
- Perfect for leftovers; reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop.
