Instructions

- Beat softened butter in a separate bowl until creamy; gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients with milk until just combined; avoid over-mixing.
- Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before frosting.
