Description

A delicious and creamy penne pasta dish with Italian sausage and bell peppers.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb Italian sausage, sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown 1 lb sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until golden; cook thoroughly for flavor.
  2. Add 2 sliced peppers and 1 cup onion and cook for 4 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in 2 cloves minced garlic and 2 tbsp tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add 3 cups broth, 1 cup cream, and 12 oz pasta; stir well.
  5. Simmer uncovered for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring until pasta is tender; stir often.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup Parmesan; season to taste.
