Description

A delicious and hearty dish combining smoked sausage, cabbage, and egg noodles.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14 ounces) smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup chopped white or yellow onion
  • 67 cups chopped cabbage (about 1/2 head)
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 jar pimentos
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 8 ounces egg noodles (uncooked)
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions and set aside.
  2. In a large pan or skillet, add some olive oil and cook smoked sausage and onion until lightly browned.
  3. Next, add in butter and chopped cabbage and let cook until cabbage is soft, about 10 minutes on low-medium heat.
  4. Stir in peas, pimentos, cream cheese, and egg noodles and let cook until well combined.

Notes

  • This dish can be served warm or at room temperature.
