A delicious grilled ribeye or sirloin steak marinated in a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, and herbs until combined.
- Marinate the Steak: Place the steak in a resealable bag and pour in the marinade. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.
- Preheat Your Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high (450°F/232°C) for optimal sear marks.
- Season the Steak: Remove from marinade and let rest for 15 minutes at room temperature. Generously season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Grill It Up: Grill steak for about 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare (internal temp of 130°F/54°C). Adjust cooking time as needed.
- Rest Before Serving: Let the steak rest for five minutes before slicing to allow juices to redistribute.
Notes
- For best flavor, marinate the steak overnight.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for desired doneness.
- Letting the steak rest is crucial for juicy results.
