A delightful dessert combining layers of tiramisu and fresh mixed berries.
Ingredients

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled
- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
- Ladyfingers, enough to cover the bottom of the trifle dish
- 3 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons berry liqueur (optional)
- Additional mixed berries for garnish
- Cocoa powder or grated chocolate for garnish
Instructions
- For the Tiramisu Layer: In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- In another bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
- In a shallow dish, mix the brewed espresso and coffee liqueur (if using).
- Dip each ladyfinger into the espresso mixture briefly, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- For the Berry Layer: In a separate bowl, toss the mixed berries with granulated sugar, lemon juice, and berry liqueur (if using). Let them macerate for about 15 minutes.
- Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of a trifle dish.
- Spread half of the tiramisu mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Spoon half of the macerated berries over the tiramisu layer.
- Repeat the layers with remaining ladyfingers, tiramisu mixture, and berries.
- Cover the trifle dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Before serving, top the trifle with additional mixed berries and sprinkle cocoa powder or grated chocolate on top.
