A delicious herb stuffing perfect for any occasion, made with crusty bread, fresh herbs, and eggs.
Ingredients

- 4 cups crusty bread, cubed and dried
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 3 celery stalks, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cut bread into 1-inch cubes and dry overnight or toast in oven at 300°F for 15–20 minutes.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté onion and celery for 10 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in sage, thyme, and parsley and cook for 2–3 minutes.
- Combine dried bread and vegetable mixture in a large bowl.
- Slowly add broth while mixing until moist but not soggy.
- Whisk eggs and gently fold into the stuffing.
- Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and bake 20–25 minutes until golden on top.
Notes
- This stuffing can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator until baking.
