Description

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime (juiced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Avocados: Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop out the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the Avocados: Use a fork or potato masher to mash the avocado to your desired texture (smooth or chunky).
  3. Add Lime and Salt: Stir in the lime juice and salt to the mashed avocado.
  4. Mix in Other Ingredients: Add the diced onion, chopped cilantro, and diced tomatoes. Stir to combine. Add minced garlic and cayenne pepper if using, and mix thoroughly.
  5. Taste and Adjust: Taste the guacamole and add additional salt, lime juice, or cayenne pepper according to preference.
  6. Serve: Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl and garnish with additional cilantro or lime wedges if desired.

Notes

  • To prevent browning, keep the guacamole covered with plastic wrap directly touching the surface or store it in an airtight container.
