Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Beat in eggs one at a time; then add vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- In another bowl, sift together flour and baking powder. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Chill the dough in the fridge for about 30 minutes to maintain shape.
- Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are lightly golden while centers remain soft.
Notes
- Chilling the dough helps prevent the cookies from spreading too much while baking.
