Description

A delicious smoked salmon cream cheese spread, perfect for bagels or crackers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz smoked salmon, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tbsp dried dill)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 tbsp capers, chopped

Instructions

  1. Allow the cream cheese to soften at room temperature.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese and chopped smoked salmon until well combined but still chunky.
  3. Stir in dill, capers, and lemon juice until evenly mixed. Adjust lemon juice to taste.
  4. Season with salt and pepper; be mindful of the natural saltiness of the salmon.
  5. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least one hour to meld flavors.
  6. Serve chilled on toasted bagels or with crackers and fresh veggies.

Notes

  • For a stronger dill flavor, use fresh dill.
  • This spread is best served chilled.
  • Great with a squeeze more lemon for extra tang.
