Description

A simple yet delicious ribeye steak recipe.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ribeye steak
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the steak dry with paper towels and rub both sides with olive oil. Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. (Optional) Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Place the steak on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes based on desired doneness (medium-rare: 130°F/54°C).
  5. Remove from the oven and let rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
