- 4 round crusty bread bowls
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti until al dente. Drain well.
- Toss the hot spaghetti with the marinara sauce until evenly coated.
- In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Slice the tops off the bread bowls and hollow out the centers, leaving a sturdy shell.
- Brush the insides of each bread bowl generously with the garlic butter mixture.
- Fill each bread bowl with sauced spaghetti, twisting the pasta in with tongs for neat portions.
- Top each bowl with mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
- Place the filled bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread is lightly crisp.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, use freshly baked bread bowls.
- You can add additional vegetables to the spaghetti mixture if desired.
- Adjust the seasoning to taste based on preference.
